Insects are in crisis. Worldwide insect populations have declined over 40%. Birds populations, too, are drastically reduced. This should worry us all, as it points to greater ecological collapse. Take a step to help by planting a patch of habitat in your yard - even a small area can help support many creatures! Planting native plants feeds the whole ecosystem. It helps to preserve biodiversity in our region, and saves resources (by reducing the need for watering and mowing). Native gardens are beautiful and rewarding to grow!
